Did you know that Battersea Park has its own zoo?

Battersea Park, London SW11 4NJ | 10am - 5.30pm every day 

Battersea Park is a great place to bring the kids; as well as the wide open spaces and lush greenery you (of course) have Go Ape - but, if you didnt already know, you might have been missing the fact that the Central South London park has its own children’s zoo - there are over 100 animals, from your regular farm favourites to playful monkeys swinging through the trees, lemurs with mesmerizing eyes, and sleek and graceful otters!


Where is it?

If you enter Battersea Park by the Chelsea Gate on Queenstown Road (just south of Chelsea Bridge) and walk along the riverside until you reach the Peace Pagoda, from there you will see the entrance to the Children’s Zoo. Step inside and find out what it’s all about!


What animals can we see?

The zoo is home to over 100 amazing animals from around the world, from European farmyard favourites like the Oxford Sandy and Black Pig and Swiss Valley Blacknose Sheep to friends from far-off continents like the Chinese Crocodile Lizard and the Red-Necked Wallaby!

What can we do there?

As well as walking amongst the animals, you can learn all about them with Daily Feeding Talks led by passionate zookeepers who provide a captivating glimpse into the lives of these incredible creatures, plus insights into their unique diets, fascinating behaviors, and the importance of conservation.

There’s also a great range of interactive experiences designed to foster a love of learning, as children can participate in year-round events like wildlife activity days, arts and crafts sessions, and exciting adventure trails!

You can even relax and let your little ones loose in the expansive Adventure Playground, with a wonderland of play equipment for children of all ages and abilities to climb on, crawl through and slide down, plus sensory sandpits and a real-life fire engine and helicopter!

How much does it cost?

Day tickets cost £11.95 for children aged 2 -15, and £13.95 for adults.

A Family Ticket (for 2 adults and 2 children) is discounted at £46

Tickets for Seniors (60+), Students and those with military concessions cost £12.95

Registered disabled adult (1 carer free) - £12.95

Registered disabled child (1 carer free) - £10.95

If you buy a ticket online that ticket is non-refundable, but it can be used within 30 days of purchase.
